About Dr. Samuel Nisbett

The Chief Executive Officer and President of British Columbia’s Saje Vision Services Inc., Dr. Samuel Nisbett possesses more than two decades of experience providing laser corrective surgeries and other procedures for patients. A Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Nisbett has trained in several institutions in Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean, and presented numerous lectures to his peers. At present, Dr. Samuel Nisbett belongs to professional groups such as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, British Columbia Eye Physician Society, and Canadian Medical Association, among others.

Aside from his obligations at Saje Vision Services Inc., Dr. Samuel Nisbett has lent his medical and management expertise to several other organizations. A former Assistant Professor for the University of Manitoba, he also spent a number of years serving on the institution’s Credentials Committee and Residency Training Committee. In addition, he acted as Director of Electrophysiology Department and Laboratory and participated on the IOL Committee for the Department of Ophthalmology. Further, Dr. Samuel Nisbett also held a seat on the Executive Board of Directors for Manitoba Medical Association and officially represented the Canadian government in Cuba in regards to retinitis pigmentosa therapy.

When not treating patients, Dr. Samuel Nisbett takes pleasure in a variety of outdoor recreational activities, including playing golf, flying kites, skiing, and fishing. A charitably minded individual, he has served as a mentor to high school students and took part in a medical mission trip to Africa.

Dr. Nisbett obtained his medical degree from the University of the West Indies. He completed a residency at the University of Manitoba and a fellowship at the University of Toronto.
